The Tour
A nationwide network of TrackMan-powered camps for kickers, punters and long snappers, co-founded by 4th Down University's Coach Dan Lundy. You kick, dual Doppler radar measures every ball, and you leave with numbers instead of opinions.
Why the numbers matter
Specialists are usually evaluated on somebody's impression of a kick. The Tour replaces that with measurement. TrackMan uses dual Doppler radar to track the flight of every ball, so ball speed, hang time, apex and accuracy come back as facts rather than guesses, and the same athlete can be compared honestly from one month to the next.
Those numbers only mean something next to a reference point. The Tour publishes benchmark standards built from more than 500,000 tracked NFL, NCAA and high school kicks, sorted by the level an athlete is chasing, so a high school junior can see the real gap between where he is and where he needs to be.

What your numbers mean
Every metric on your report, in plain language.
- Ball Speed
- Speed of the ball off the foot.
- Launch Angle
- Vertical takeoff angle from the ground.
- Height @ LOS
- The football's height at seven yards, where a rush would meet it.
- Apex
- Maximum height of the kick.
- End Over End
- End-over-end spin rate of the football.
- Side (Projected)
- Launch direction relative to the center of the goalposts.
- Movement
- The gap between Side (Projected) and where the ball actually sits at the goal plane.
- Good From
- The longest distance that kick would have been good from, factoring in height and direction.
- +/-
- Consistency, expressed as one standard deviation.
- Goal Cross Position
- Where the ball crosses the plane of the uprights. Smaller is closer to center.
- Accuracy Score
- Closer to 100 means more kicks down the middle, weighted by distance.
- Hang Time
- Time the ball is in the air.
- Distance
- Length of the kick.
- 3D Trajectory
- A view of the flight path and landing spot.
TrackMan needs a minimum of 50 mph ball speed and a 20 degree launch angle to produce data. Footballs must be leather, not composite, inflated to 11 to 13 PSI.
