As a Senior (2021):
  • Recorded a crucial 41-yard field goal vs. Indiana
  • Converted a 48-yard field goal for a second straight game at Minnesota
  • Made a 48-yard field goal to open the scoring at #7 Ohio State
  • Kicked a 32-yard game winner to give Maryland 20-17 win over Illinois (first walk-off game winning FG by a Terp since 2006)
  • Made 3 field goals in win over West Virginia, including a 45-yarder on his first attempt on the season
As a Junior (2020): 
  • Started in every game as Maryland's kicker
  • Was true on all extra points he attempted
  • Kicked career-long 51-yard field goal in 17 point fourth quarter comeback vs. Minnesota
  • Made 33-yard field goal on Maryland’s first drive of season at Northwestern
As a Sophomore (2019): 
  • Started in every game as Maryland's kicker
  • Made 36-of-38 extra point attempts and 2-of-5 field goal attempts
  • Made a 33-yard field goal in season finale at Michigan State and a 31 yarder at #17 Minnesota
  • Went 9-for-9 in PATs in back-to-back weeks to open the season vs. Howard & #21 Syracuse
As a Freshman (2018): 
  • Maryland's primary kicker, converted on 12-of-14 field goal attempts
  • Made the first 11 field goals of his career , becoming the last kicker in the country to miss an attempt
  • Hit 4 field goals at Indiana, the most by a Maryland kicker since Nick Ferrara in 2011
  • Went 9-for-9 in PATs vs. Illinois, tied for the most in program history
  • Made both field goal attempts against Rutgers
  • Hit a career-long 40-yard FG and made all 6 PATs at Bowling Green
  • Made collegiate debut against #23 Texas, converting 2 field goals and making all 4 extra points
  • The first true freshman to start at placekicker for the Terps since Brad Craddock in (2012 Lou Groza Award winner)
Before Maryland, Petrino was rated a 3-star recruit by 247sports and ESPN, rated 12th nationally among placekickers by 247sports, was featured on ESPN “Top-10 Plays” for kicking 50-yard field goals with both his right and left foot.
