4th Down University - Ethan Gettman

Ethan Gettman began training with Coach Lundy and 4th Down University in 2013.  Growing up in Ormond Beach, FL, he began kicking at Mainland High School. Gettman was a 2 year starter for Mainland, breaking the school FG record (53 yards) and earning 2 time MVP.
 
Gettman earned a scholarship to Bryant University in Smithfield, RI. At Bryant he began his career at punter, breaking a school record with an 82 yard punt. In Gettman's junior season (2022) he earned the field goal and kickoff duties, ending the season with a 93.3% FG percentage. He broke multiple school records, led the FCS in FG percentage, and was named All American. As a result, Gettman won the Fred Mitchell Award, presented annually to the nation’s top place-kicker in FCS, Division II, Division III, NAIA and NJCAA for excellence on the football field and in the community (over 750 kickers are eligible for this annual award).
 
Gettman spends his summer and winter breaks in Ormond Beach, FL training with Coach Lundy and serving as an assistant coach for specialists of all ages in the central Florida area. "The sport has given me so much. I want to give back to it by training young athletes and helping them achieve their goals."
