Kicking, Punting & Long Snapping Training in New Smyrna Beach & Port Orange

You are fifteen minutes from a specialist-only program and most athletes down here still find out about it from another parent in the stands. New Smyrna Beach and Port Orange families are two of the largest groups in this program, and the reason is simple: it is close, and nobody else in southeast Volusia does only this.

4th Down University is a specialist-only program. Kickers, punters and long snappers are not a side offering here — they are the only thing we do, and have been for 22 years.

What a session actually looks like

Every rep is measured on TrackMan and reviewed on film the same day. Not “looked good, run it again” — ball speed, launch angle, spin, apex and height off the line of scrimmage, on every ball.

That data feeds Kickometry, the method behind the program: find the athlete’s repeatable operation, then build training around holding it under pressure. There is no one right way to kick. There is the right way for that athlete’s body, made repeatable. More on how we use TrackMan.

Where southeast Volusia athletes train

Most sessions run at the Ormond Beach Sports Complex — private, semi-private and small group, year-round, roughly twenty to thirty minutes up A1A or I-95 from New Smyrna Beach and about fifteen from Port Orange. We also run occasional sessions at the New Smyrna Beach football field.

If getting up the road does not work, on-campus training comes to your school by appointment at $250, and virtual sessions work from anywhere.

How an on-campus session gets set up

  1. Tell us where you are. Your school, your position, and what you are trying to fix.
  2. You and your coach square it with the school. Your head coach signs off and your athletic director grants field access — that permission has to come from inside the program, which is why it runs through you and your coach rather than through us.
  3. We come to you. $250, on your own field, TrackMan on every rep and film reviewed the same day.
