Kicking, Punting & Long Snapping Training in Apopka
Apopka and the northwest Orlando programs put out real specialists, and almost none of them are coached by somebody who does only this. Most get a position coach who played somewhere else on the field, a phone full of technique videos, and no real answer for why Friday night’s ball came off the foot wrong.
4th Down University is a specialist-only program. Kickers, punters and long snappers are not a side offering here — they are the only thing we do, and have been for 22 years.
What a session actually looks like
Every rep is measured on TrackMan and reviewed on film the same day. Not “looked good, run it again” — ball speed, launch angle, spin, apex and height off the line of scrimmage, on every ball.

How Apopka-area athletes train with us
Most Apopka training is on-campus and by appointment. We come to your high school — arranged with your athletic director and head coach — or to a field near you.
On-campus sessions are $250 and cover Apopka, Ocoee, Winter Garden, Mount Dora and the surrounding northwest Orange County programs. Athletes who would rather come to us train at the Ormond Beach Sports Complex, about an hour and a quarter east. Virtual sessions work from anywhere.
How an on-campus session gets set up
- Tell us where you are. Your school, your position, and what you are trying to fix.
- You and your coach square it with the school. Your head coach signs off and your athletic director grants field access — that permission has to come from inside the program, which is why it runs through you and your coach rather than through us.
- We come to you. $250, on your own field, TrackMan on every rep and film reviewed the same day.
If your school will not host, we use a local park near you instead, or you come to Ormond Beach.
Where 4DU specialists end up
4DU athletes have earned more than 150 college scholarships and dozens of All-America honors, including Lou Groza and Ray Guy Award winners and a Fred Mitchell Award winner. Specialists from the program are currently on rosters at Michigan, Florida, Missouri and Maryland, and the NFL list includes Cairo Santos, Chris Boswell, Wil Lutz, Tommy Townsend, Greg Joseph, Austin Seibert and Brad Robbins.
