James Hook is the current punter at Frostburg State University in western Maryland. He began his playing career in the fall of 2019 at Wagner College, a D1 FCS program. After starteing one game while at Wagner, Hook transferred to the University at Buffalo, a D1 FBS program, in the fall of 2020. After graduating from Buffalo in the spring of 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a minor in Psychology. Hook accepted a grad transfer opportunity at Frostburg State, where he is currently pursuing his MBA.

 

"Punting and kicking are not one size fits all skills, and I recognized this later in my career. Through years of training I've come to understand the nuances of the specialist positions, and I hope to translate them to the specialists I train. Whether it is a technical issue, or something on the mental side, it is my passion in seeing atheltes perform at a high level, no matter the circumstances."
